This is the ideal hotel if you are transferring between Istanbul and either of its airports, as the Havas airport transfer bus drops off/picks up on the opposite side of the street. It is comfortable and clean and has a nice rooftop terrace. The breakfast was pleasant and varied (although served in a windowless basement room).
The location was great. It was accessible to shopping and eating.
Some of the people at the front desk we working with the cab drivers to get a cut on the fares when they called the cabs. Try to get your own cab.
The hotel is in a good neighborhood, and a convenient location. It was clean and had a cozy style.
It is on a busy street in the Taksim area, so it is rather loud at night.
Ease of getting to and from the airport with the Airport Shuttle picking up and dropping off just across from the hotel.
this hotel was chosen by the group tour. we just stayed on not to have the hassle of changing hotels.
i would have preferred to stay in a more luxurious hotel with good linens and updated modern decor in the sultanhamet area. the hotel was out of the way.
I Like the style of room in Germir Palas and breakfast. the food for brakfast are very fresh. Also tea is great.
There was no problem during my staying.
Staff were courteous, decor was great, hotel has a warm cosy feel to it
Breakfast room - bit lacking in atmosphere.
The hotel in general is good...location, cleanness, staff,,, nothing really is over expectations I would say is a good hotel only
nothing in partecular
Small but high standard hotel with nice staff. Very nice hotel in the heart of Istanbul.
Great hotel, the only issue is that light in the room is very poor and some rooms do not have a real wondow
Germir palace is a great boutique hotel and the staff is really kind and helpful. The location is excellent, right next to the subway and the airport buses and just one minute walk away from the charmingly vivid Istiklal Street.I Absolutely recommend it!
The only thing I didn't like was the fact that the room only had air conditioning rather than a radiator so the air got pretty dry in there. The bathroom had no heating at all!
Centre city location was excellent. Initial impression when entering hotel was one of good design, quality and comfort. Staff very helpful and friendly The buffet breakfast was excellent and the evening meal in the restaurant was first class and good value. The overall design was very well done and the theme continued consistently through-out the hotel. Every facility required was provided in the bedroom. The sheets, towels, goods and bar items were changed daily and the service was quiet and not intrusive. I have already recommended the Germir Palas Hotel to a friend who has a hotel in Bodrum to mention to clients wishing to stay in Istanbul.
The bedroom was slightly on the tight side for twin beds and for persons travelling with a lot of luggage also the room was rather dark. Otherwise ideal.
Location made it easy to travel to the airport as well as access the modern city area of Istanbul. The room and bed were comfortable.
The staff were not very helpful which we found unusual in Turkey where everyone had been very friendly and helpful, this was the most expensive accommodation we had so we expected the service to match.
The breakfast on the roof is very nice, and the staff are very courteous and helpful. The location is very easy to access from public transport. We came in a good 5 hours before check-in and they had a room ready for us within 15 minutes.
Too few electric sockets for telephone chargers.
Cosy , excellent location and nice and helpfull staff.
Rooms are small, breakfast and no airconditioning although it was warm ( first week of april )
